Shipper & Receiver

Essential Duties

2-3 years of shipping/receiving experience, steel knowledge and experience an asset;
Forklift and Overhead Crane Experience required;
Offload and receive steel orders;
Receive smaller shipments such as shop consumables and hardware;
Coordinate with parts department and shop foreman for required steel needed in the shop as well as incoming and outgoing schedule;
Maintain/organize steel and completed assemblies in the yard;
Assist in preparation of completed assemblies for shipment;
Operation of truck and gooseneck trailer for small, local deliveries and pick ups;
Adherence to pre-established standards of performance, shop safety policies and procedures;
Maintain an efficient work environment within the department and on each task;
Consistently punctual and available for 40 hrs/week and overtime as required;
Perform other material handling duties as assigned.
